Three Rings Shiraz 2007
Three Rings Shiraz
100% Shiraz
Barossa Valley, Australia
2007
Description
Deep magenta hue with anise fruit and perfumed aromas apparent on the nose, a full bodied palate shows appealing fruit to acid balance and finishes long with well integrated oak influence.
Winemaker’s Notes
A warm dry winter period and a hot and dry growing season with below average rainfall saw low flowering and berry set resulting in reduced yields but ripe fruit. Quality was sound with strong color and flavor development producing wines rich and elegant in style.
WineChump Notes
Yet another excellent wine that started with Chris Ringland, famous for Grateful Palate and wines like Big “R” (featured here). This is a bit different from the 2006, which was blended with 10% Cabernet Sauvignon; but it is no less a winner! You’ll find this to compete well with the 2006, and at about half the price it is a wine worthy of trying. Order a half-case of this and the rest Henry’s Drive Dead Letter Office Shiraz — you’ll be glad you did!
