An all-time popular varietal: [yellow tail] Chardonnay has a rich and creamy finish while being silky smooth and easy to drink. It’s rich and vibrant, with fresh peach and melon flavors and a hint of  vanilla. This Chardonnay goes well with roast chicken or a picnic with sandwiches in a park.

Okay, before you roll your eyes, we WineChumps have been drinking [yellow tail] wines for years. They are consistent, and fit the “table wine” requirement.

And, yes, it’s on the bottom shelf (the lower-priced wines tend to find their way to the bottom shelves in grocery stores).

And, yes, they’re typically lower-priced wines.

And, yes, they aren’t going to compete directly with Meiomi.

But at an average price that’s less than $10 (sometimes even under $7) they are quite good. This Chardonnay is no exception. We’ve tasted Chardonnays over $10 that aren’t really any better. So, give this one a try. It’s consistent, well-priced, and (quite frankly) fun to drink!
