GMS (Grenache Mataro Shiraz)

Barossa

2008

Notes from the Producer

The Schild Estate 2008 Barossa GMS is made from fruit sourced from dry grown bush vine Grenache, Mataro (Mourvedre) and Shiraz with an average age of 70 years. The GMS shows classic stylistic notes typical of the generosity of flavors that are purely Barossa. Color: Dark red to purple. Bouquet: Inviting ripe red cherries and spice. Palate: A classic Rhone style blend, the earthy flavors from the old bush vine Grenache are enhanced by the addition of rich, plummy Mataro and spicy Shiraz.
