Europa Village C’est La Vie Cabernet Sauvignon

Europa Village C’est La Vie

100% Cabernet Sauvignon

Temecula Valley, California

Producer Notes

Tasting Notes
Intense floral nose with strawberry reduction and pine wood aromas; on the palate there is a residual sugar that is pleasant and coating, caramel and vanilla linger on the tip of the tongue.
Winemaker Notes
Ben Drake, our Vineyard Manager, tends to more than 40% of the vineyards in the Temecula Valley but has just one solitary acre of his own fruit which he planted in 1998. Europa Village was able to obtain all 4 tons of these Cabernet Sauvignon grapes (clone 337) from his private estate.
Food Pairing Notes
Pairs nicely with pan roasted veal chops with Cabernet sauce, or salami and a medium-bodied, firm-textured cow’s milk cheese like Swiss Gruyere or Comté.

Alcohol is 13.2%

WineChump Notes

This is one of the wines that I picked up when I visited Temecula Valley in California.  This Cabernet doesn’t have the green pepper notes that traditional Cabernet Sauvignon has, and that’s exactly why I like it.
