WineChump Notes
Malbecs are finicky. Sometimes you get a great one, and sometimes you get one destined for spaghetti sauce. Save the others for the sauce, because this one’s a keeper. Competing well with the Fabre Montmayou “Pretty” Malbec we featured last year, this Argentinian is bold and full of everything you want in a Malbec with a bit more. 14 months in oak make this a delightful wine. The fact that you can leave it in your wine cave (if you have one, but DEFINITELY NOT over your refrigerator) for up to 8 years before pulling the cork (yes, and yey, it has a cork!) makes it one to stock up. Try it, and let us know what you think.
