Red Wine

Guenoc Claret

Guenoc Claret

Napa Valley

2009

Winemaker Notes

This top-selling, full-bodied California red is a complex offering of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Don’t be nervous if you’re are unfamiliar with Claret, it’s simply a traditional English term used to describe the classic red wines from the Bordeaux region of France.  Guenoc Claret combines a bit of California fun with some Bordeaux elegance, making it a popular full-bodied red wine.

Dark ruby in color, the wine has a wonderful fruity nose of black cherry, plum, and blueberry.  Hints of vanilla and nutmeg make this Claret complex with a long, smooth finish.  Aged in 50% American and French Oak.

WineChump Notes

I discovered this wine on the list at ‘Town in Jacksonville, Florida.  Ordered with short ribs, this Claret was exquisite!

“This red blend is a crowd pleaser! Powerful up front dark fruit hits the palate immediately followed by a rich chocolate middle and a silky smooth long finish. This wine is ready to enjoy today!”
